Fund Drive

Membership Fund Drive Kicks Off with Matching Funds

Mount Joy’s Historical Society was chartered in 1973 by a group of citizens who were concerned about the future of precious historical records and artifacts of the Mount Joy Area.

The community at large now has an opportunity to partner with the Mount Joy Area Historical Society by making a small investment in helping to restore the Cemetery Road Schoolhouse, located beside the Society’s museum building on Fairview Street. The brick one-room schoolhouse was built around 1843, and in May 2011, the Mount Joy Area Historical Society acquired it.

Through a generous matching funds offer from Engle Printing and Publishing, Co., Inc., the Society is conducting a membership drive now until July 31, 2016. Your joining the Society during this time period will result in Engle Printing’s matching funds contribution to the Society. Please help us preserve Mount Joy’s history!
